Hi, I’m Tara Amor, founder of Nourishing Wellness and a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 23 years of healthcare experience. My background in critical care nursing and family medicine has shaped the way I care for patients today, with an emphasis on listening, education and trust.
Health isn’t just my career — it’s how I live. I stay active, keep a garden, and love a good meal made with real ingredients. But most of all, I value the quiet moments — a good book, a good show, time with family, or exploring somewhere new — because health is about more than the clinic. It’s about building a life you actually want to be well for.
Over time, I watched the pressure to see more patients, manage administrative demands, and navigate insurance barriers crowd out the connection patients and providers both deserve. Appointments got rushed. People left feeling unheard — like a number instead of a person. I thought there had to be another way. So I created Nourishing Wellness on a simple belief: healthcare should feel personal again.
Patients deserve to choose a provider based on connection, shared goals, and a relationship that feels right for them—not on what is dictated by outside systems. That kind of relationship creates room for honesty, better communication, and stronger long-term health.
