Hello! My patients call me “Dr. Lydia.” I was born and raised in Mississippi and am Southern through and through. I attended Mississippi State University and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 1997. I went on to do a year of DNA research at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In 1998, I got accepted into The University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (now KCUMB) in Kansas City, MO. I met my husband there as a 2nd year medical student. We were married my 4th year of medical school while doing clinical rotations in Oklahoma City through St. Anthony Hospital. Greg and I did our residency training at Via Christi Family Medicine in Wichita, KS. After graduating, I did a brief stent working full-time ER with Emergency Services of Kansas in Newton. Our son was born soon after and I decided to stay home and work part time. We moved back to the Oklahoma City metro in 2007. Our initial employer was SSM in Mustang. Two years later, we moved to Mercy Yukon Clinic. I worked for Mercy 10 years, then decided to open my own practice in April of 2019 to realize a life-long dream. I can now say I am doing my best work!
I practice holistic medicine because I honor the fact that God has made us as unique individuals. We are only whole when our minds, bodies and spirits are whole. My interest is in providing individualized care to patients who want a strong relationship with their doctor. I listen and think outside of the box. My goal is always to optimize your health. The Direct Primary Care model has allowed me to break down traditional barriers to healthcare and do my best work caring for patients. I offer a broad menu of services we can tailor to meet your healthcare needs. Welcome to my practice!
